MiRO, a strong partner for Karlsruhe
The MiRO (Mineral Oil Refinery Upper Rhine) in Karlsruhe is Germany’s biggest fuel refinery and one of the most modern and efficient refineries in Europe. For the partners Conoco Phillips, Esso, Ruhr Oil and Shell, 1,000 workers refine the crude oil into high quality products such as fuel, diesel, heating oil, propylene and bitumen – about 16 million tons per year. For south-western Germany, MiRO is the most important supplier of mineral oil products.
